Input Method Overview

UniText supplies its own custom input method if "Use Custom Input Method" in the Feature option of the Preference dialog is set:

If user disable the "Use Custom Input Method", UniText will behave just the same as any other Worldscript II compatible application: as user select the CJK font, the Apple's input method will be used (if user has Apple's language support in the system). To use UniText custom input method, set the preference as shown, note: Korean user should disable the "Input with Association" and "Input with Wildcard" options.

To invoke the UniText custom input method, simply set your text to one of the CJK fonts. Remember that for PanALE fbit font, Beijing corresponds to GB2312 font, Taipei corresponds to Big5 with Eten extension font, Tokyo corresponds to shift-JIS font and Seoul corresponds to KS5601 font. If Worldscript II is not installed on your system, only PanALE fbit fonts and Elegance truetype fonts will be recognized as CJK fonts, and therefore, get corresponding input method invoked as they are selected in the font menu. For our example, set font to Taipei from Font menu, at the bottom of you screen, the input method will appear:
